Welcome to tours.hci.edu.sg! This website was created to enhance your tour experience around Hwa Chong. You can use this website to go on a self-tour, or refer to it for additional info while on a guided tour.

Tap on Go to start the selected tour.
At the bottom of the landing page, there is an option to start the Open Tour which allows you to explore Hwa Chong without a predefined tour route.
You can select between 2 modes to view details about your tour. They are the Map interface and List interface.
By default, clicking Go brings you to the Map interface.
Similarly to how you would use Google Maps or Apple Maps, you can drag, pan, pinch, rotate and zoom this map.
Each coloured circle you see on the map represents a building or landmark. Refer to the legend at the top left hand corner of the screen. You can collapse the legend by clicking on the checkbox there as well.
Buildings or landmarks coloured maroon are part of the current tour you have selected.
Tap on any one of the coloured circles and a tooltip will be shown to tell you the building or landmark's name.
Certain buildings or landmarks will have the Learn More option.
Tap on Learn More to view this detailed information.
Tap on ✕ at the top right hand corner of the screen to close this popup.
Tap on the ••• located at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to bring up this panel of options.
The third option, View as List, switches the tour mode to the List interface. You can also switch back to the Map interface with the same method when in the List inteface.
In the List interface, buildings and landmarks are presented in the form of a scrollable list of cards.
Unlike the Map interface where all buildings and landmarks can be viewed, the List interface shows only the relevant buildings and landmarks that are part of the current tour.
The cards are also ordered based on your location. Your distance to each of the buildings and landmarks is displayed at the bottom right hand corner of each card. To enable this feature, please turn on location services.
Tap on a card to view more detailed information.
As you walk around Hwa Chong, your distance to the landmarks will change. The List interface will intelligently update the cards with your new location information.
However, note that the cards themselves will not reorder in real-time. This is to prevent interruptions to the user experience.
For best viewing, we advise simply scrolling down to the next card when you move to your next tour destination.
After finishing your tour, pen a message on the guestbook as a record of your visit to Hwa Chong!
Tap on + to create a new entry on the guestbook. We provide the option to write anonymously as well.
Tap on ← to go back to the previous page.
